Ngabsen is a modern Full-Stack solution for digitizing school attendance using NFC technology. Developed by Langen Dimas Pramudya, this system automates student attendance recording quickly, accurately, and transparently, reducing administrative burden.
Project Background
In today's digital education era, school administrative efficiency is a priority. Ngabsen is a Full-Stack Web Development solution specifically designed to digitize the student attendance process. Conventional methods using paper or manual processes are often time-consuming and prone to manipulation, thus a more reliable and integrated system is needed.
The main goal of Ngabsen is to create an orderly and transparent school ecosystem. By utilizing Near Field Communication (NFC) technology, each student is equipped with a unique programmed identity card. This not only speeds up the class entry process but also provides real-time attendance data for the school and parents.
As the developer, I ensure that Ngabsen's architecture is built with high scalability, strict data security, and a user-friendly interface. The platform includes a comprehensive admin dashboard that allows teachers or administrative staff to monitor attendance instantly, generate monthly reports, and recapitulate data with a single click.
How the System Works
Ngabsen seamlessly integrates NFC Reader hardware with the web application. First, each student receives an NFC card programmed with a unique encrypted ID. When a student taps the card on the reader installed at the entrance, the ID data is immediately sent to the server via local network or internet.
After receiving the data, Ngabsen's backend system validates the ID against the database. If registered and valid, the system automatically records the attendance timestamp and student status. The entire process takes only milliseconds, significantly reducing queues at the school gate.
Finally, the validated data is instantly updated on the web dashboard. Administrators can access real-time attendance information through a browser. Ngabsen also includes an automatic notification feature that can be integrated to report attendance to parents, creating full transparency between the school and parents.
